I guess you have many messages in private mail answering your question. But still….
There is a big problem in Russia for all foreigners (especially for Arabic). It’s our police. They will stop you a lot of times to check your passport, visa and so on. So be ready to such a problem. :-(
As for “Russian mafia”… it’s rather folks than true. There are no bandits with guns at streets :-)
Bears don’t walk on the streets either (only at the zoo) :-))
People…. It’s very difficult to describe common features of Russian people (I guess it’s as hard as to describe Egyptian people :-)
Any way, Russians very differ. What a person is depends not only on nationality, but also (even rather) on education, occupation and so on.
