Hi Mira, 6th of October Academy or Universty is a private academy that can considered as Cairo Uni, or Ain Shams Uni, but it's a private one and for this reason it's so expensive, and why they have choosed this name I don't know really, but maybe because we 'I mean egyptians' has won a war called 6th of October 1973 and took Sinai I don't know if you're going to understand Sinai or not anyway it's our part that located in Asia, I mean the part that have Sharm, and all the towns located near to it, any way this day is something like independence day for us because we took our land back. I can tell you that I'm almost sure that the name took from this war. and 6th of October Uni located in a small industrial city called 6th of October and located very near to cairo, so we are considering it as a part of cairo, and about fees to apply for study in this academy I know its very high for us as egyptians but it's giving a study as the American Universty, you know it's expensive but it's very high educational level. and study is in eglish also.
