CAIRO, Oct 14 - A tourist bus and a truck collided near an Egyptian Red Sea resort on Monday, killing five Russian tourists and two Egyptians who were driving the vehicles, security sources said.
The crash, which occurred about 65 km (40 miles) north of Hurghada, injured eleven other Russians and an Egyptian translator, the sources said.
It was not yet clear whether the dead were men or women, the sources said. The injured were taken to hospitals in Hurghada and the Red Sea town of Ras Gharib.
Egypt has one of the worst road accident rates in the world.
