ISSUE:

2. UPON ARRIVAL:
a. for an unlimited stay to holders of diplomatic passports;
b. for a stay of max. 30 days to:
1. holders of normal and official passports ;
2. passengers coming from countries without Egyptian
representations, provided not mentioned in Facility not
applicable to" below;
3. passengers coming from countries where representations of
Egypt are established, provided:
- not mentioned in Facility not applicable to below;
and
- coming for touristic purposes; or
- coming for emergency cases and being able to satisfy
the Immigration Officer thereof;
FEE: USD 15.- or equivalent. Photo required if holding
National Identity Card (see 1. Passport 4.).
FACILITY NOT APPLICABLE TO:
a. nationals of: Afghanistan (see note 25 below), Albania,
Algeria, Angola, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh,
Belarus, Bosnia Herzegovina (see note 26 below),
Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde
Isl., Central African Rep., Chad, Comores Isl., Congo
(Brazzaville), Congo (Kinshasa) (see note 22 below), Cote
D'Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea (see note 22 below),
Ethiopia (see note 22 below), Gabon, Gambia, Georgia,
Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, India, Indonesia, Iran (see note 21
below), Iraq, Israel, Kenya, Kazakhstan, Korea (Rep.),
Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar,
Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Moldova Rep. (see
note 26 below), Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger,
Nigeria (see note 22 below), Pakistan, Philippines (see
note 22 below), Sierra Leone, Somalia (see note 22
below), South Africa, Sri Lanka, Sudan (see note 23
below), Swaziland, Tajikistan, Tanzania (see note 22
below), Thailand, Togo, Tunisia, Turkey(see note 21 25
below)(see note 26 below), Turkmenistan, Uganda,
Uzbekistan, Zambia, Zimbabwe;
b. Palestinians (see note 21 below), even if holding a
Laissez-Passer;
c. nationals (see note 22 below) of: Bangladesh, India,
Pakistan and Sri Lanka, who must obtain their visa from
an Egyptian representation in their country of permanent
residence;
d. Stateless persons and refugees holding Laissez-Passer.

*21A visa which has been approved by the Security
Authorities of Egypt is required for nationals of Iran,
Turkey (see note 25 below), and holders of Palestinian
documents.
*22Nationals of: Bangladesh, Congo (Kinshasa), Eritrea,
Ethiopia, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Somalia,
Sri Lanka and Tanzania must hold onward or return
tickets. Deportation will follow if not holding onward or
return tickets (see note 27 below).
*23Nationals of Sudan need to have their visa approved by
the Egyptian State Security Authorities or granted by an
Egyptian embassy. Acquiring the approval takes approx. 1
month. Nationals of Sudan who are already in possession
of a visa, must still get the state security endorsement
from the Egypt embassy.
EXEMPT are: holders of U.N. passports and employees of
Arab League or related organizations, provided these
organizations are based in Egypt and place of work of
employee is in Egypt. Please note that for these
passengers neither visa nor approval is required.
*25Restriction does NOT apply to:
- minors up to/incl. 15 years of age; and - adults
younger than 20 or older than 45 years, who may obtain
visa on arrival.
*26In addition to visa, prior approval is also required.
